HOW TO BUILD A LIBRARY

One of my latest crazy little ideas is to set up a tiny library in our bar and creamery, complete with a splendidly archaic borrowing system (dreaming of wooden handled date stamps and clunky card catalogues). There is plenty of wall space for shelving, and I cannot think of a better antidote to life than a glass of wine, some local cheeses and a good book. We have a glut of books, inherited from family and otherwise (I need to join a 12 step program for my cooking and gardening book addiction) a lot of them sitting in storage tubs. Researching all of the fascinating and beautiful libraries throughout the world has been incredibly inspiring so I am about to ask Miao from Kindling Furniture to build the shelves.
