My partner Steve loves sheds. If he could, he would live in one forever. I, on the other hand, was ready to move after three years of shed life and mothering three boys without a proper kitchen or laundry. We built a shed for visitors to use whilst we were renting a house at the beach but after a few weekends testing shed life out, the boys never wanted to leave. So we added two shipping containers to use as bedrooms and agreed that this would be a six-month arrangement. Three years later, we moved into our new home. It was a colorful adventure and I am sure our family is closer (albeit slightly fortified) as a result of the experience.
