During the Adelaide Fringe Festival, we have hosted a couple of impromptu shows in the bar at the winery. I am always so flabbergasted that such talent exists yet the world hardly knows about it…I just feel that if I could balance on wine bottle tops I would want EVERYONE to know. We took the boys to see the extended show during the Fringe and their eyes were agog, not least because the female actor playing the role of chicken in the show’s opening moments laid a huge egg; very realistically, with added gore, goo, graphic prosthetics and sound effects. The boys kept hissing “Mum, is that REAL?” but, in typical fashion, I was giggling so much that I couldn’t answer them properly.
