KANGARILLA CREAMERY

“Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese…” G.K. Chesterton

This year we are opening a creamery here at the winery. Alison Paxton is a lovely cheese-maker friend of ours who needed to relocate her small cheese business towards the end of last year and we are cheese lovers with an old dairy on our property – just opposite the bar and next to the wood oven no less! – which was crying out for a makeover. The perfect pairing. Alison is specializing in sheep and goats milk cheeses, using locally sourced milk, and so far, the samples have been amazing, especially the amazing haloumi. During the construction phase, our resident graffiti artist, Charlie Roberts sprayed a logo on the side of the building – in about 2 minutes with just a business card to copy. Talent is everywhere.
